Policy

Our foci in the area of policy have been:

• Gaining a thorough knowledge of existing statutes (Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act) and implementing regulations
• Developing and analyzing place-based alternatives to current monitoring strategies and requirements
• Translating our science findings (variability studies) into policy recommendations
• Economics of monitoring (in the context of SDWA and CWA)
• Drinking water choices and consumer protection
